It's almost time for the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Kicking off on June 2nd, 2025, 16 of the best teams in the world will enter the competition in Stage 1, with 16 more to follow across Stages 2 and 3.
The first three stages of the event will be decided using gruelling Swiss stages, the absolute peak of tension within high-level Counter-Strike.
There's a ton of Counter-Strike waiting to be played, so let's look at what we'll be treated to in the first round of matches.
As with previous CS Majors, the teams will play BO1 games until they are either a game away from advancement or elimination.
Games will take place simultaneously on the A and B streams.
Hometown heroes Complexity, NRG, and Wildcard will all be shown on the A stream within round one, with each team facing a difficult matchup.
Complexity will take on OG in their opener. OG went 3-0 in the European MRQ, so they'll be considered one of the favourites to advance from Stage 1.
NRG faces challenging and unpredictable opposition in TYLOO, one of the teams qualified through the Chinese MRQ. Wildcard will take on Fluxo, their dangerous South American neighbours, who will be keen to cause an upset.
All times listed for the games below will be in CDT.
Featuring an all-new, 32-team format, the BLAST.tv Austin Major is set to be the biggest event of the Summer.
Taking place between June 2nd and 22nd, the 32 teams in attendance will be battling it out for the lion's share of $1,250,000 and the chance to write their name into Counter-Strike history.
As with any BLAST event, when the action kicks off, the best place to catch it will be right here on BLAST.tv.
