Spirit have won their second trophy of the year over in Kazakhstan as they have been crowned the champions of PGL Astana 2025.
The reigning Major champions took down Astralis in the grand final, a 3-1 victory after Astralis threatened to make a comeback with a 13-5 win on Mirage in map three.

Spirit were on fire throughout the whole event, they went 3-0 in the Swiss group stage after consecutive 2-0 wins over GamerLegion, NIP, and Astralis.
The quarter-finals would see them pitted against NIP once again, with Spirit once again victorious with another 2-0 scoreline. However, the second game was closer, Snappi's team limited them to 13-8, 13-11 wins on Train and Dust2 respectively.
Spirit dropped a map for the first time in the semi-finals, surprise package FURIA opened the series with a comfortable 13-7 win on Train. Despite their disadvantage, Spirit were still comfortable for the remainder of the BO3, winning Nuke 13-9 and Mirage 13-7.
The final itself seemed destined to be a comfortable win for Spirit. However, boosted by their new captain, HooXi, Astralis wouldn't go down without a fight.
Opening on Dust2, Spirit were dominant on the iconic map, taking the advantage in the series with a 13-5 win. Astralis fought back hard, though, and were unlucky to not get more out of Nuke after chopper and donk pulled off two incredible clutches to to take the map 13-10.
Down but n3ot out, Astralis kept themselves from being 3-0'd on Mirage, they won ten rounds in a row to take map three 13-5. They even built up a 9-5 lead on Train and looked like forcing a fifth map, but donk proved to be too powerful and came alive to secure a 16-13 win for his team.
Given the MVP award for his efforts, donk put up incredible numbers across the event, averaging a 1.50 rating. He went 86-58 in the final itself, outfragging the next-highest fragger in the server by 20.
