BESTIA will be replaced at the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major after failing to secure the required amount of US visa to field a sufficient number of eligible players.
The Argentinian team, who qualified for the Major through the South American MRQ, will be replaced by Brazilian team Legacy. We can confirm that Legacy has obtained all necessary travel documentation.
Legacy will now enter the Major in Stage 1, which is set to begin on June 2nd, 2025.
BESTIA qualified for the Major alongside Fluxo and Imperial through the South American MRQ.
Their run saw them lose their opening game in Group B to Fluxo with a 2-0 scoreline, although they bounced back by eliminating RED Canids with a 2-0 win in the lower bracket.
Sent to the single-elimination bracket to fight for the third qualification spot from the MRQ, BESTIA put themselves within a win of making the Major by beating Sharks 2-0. They then faced off against Legacy, who they beat 2-0 to book their place in Austin.
However, due to the visa issues BESTIA have faced, they will now be replaced in the competition by Legacy. Legacy were selected as the replacement due to their runners-up status within the single-elimination bracket.
Prior to their 2-0 defeat by BESTIA in the MRQ, Legacy opened their account with a 2-0 victory over RED Canids but were then defeated in the group final 2-0 by Fluxo.
In the game before the loss to BESTIA, Legacy took down ODDIK in an incredibly close 2-1 series win.
As a result of this change to the team list, the opening matches for Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major will be adjusted accordingly.
