And there we have it, Vitality are the BLAST.tv Austin Major champions.
The expected result given their incredible form over the course of the season, there was a point it was in doubt as The MongolZ dominated map one and looked like they could pull off one of the greatest upsets in Major grand final history.
Let's take a look at the action.
Vitality got off to a 3-0 lead on Mirage, but just like when their opponents played FaZe, The MongolZ switched up to turn the half on it's head.
Techno may not have been the brightest star that fight back, but he was the most impactful, his performance in clutches was securing round after round for the Monglians.
The MongolZ kept on pushing and had a narrow lead as we approached the final round of the first half. mezii looked to level the score, but Techno was on hand again to send the Mongolians onto their strong CT side with a 7-5 lead.
Just like when they played FaZe, The MongolZ were impenetrable on their CT side, Vitality didn't stand a chance as they tried to attack the A site.
Undeterred, Vitality tried again. Unbothered, 910 absolutely destroyed them for it.
The MongolZ wrapped up the map in the following round with 910 and Senzu standing tall at the top of the scoreboard on 20 kills apiece.
The crowd was booming, and until map two began, they were dreaming.
Map two began as map one ended - with dominance from a CT side.
Sadly for the NA crowd, it was apEX and his Vitality team that was enjoying that dominance.
They soon found themselves with a 7-1 advantage on Dust2, although Senzu managed to pull one back with a near-impossible clutch.
9-3 at the half, Vitality extended their lead in the second half pistol round and then narrowly avoided losing their conversion round as mezii took down Senzu in the 1v1.
13-4 when it was all said and done, the Brit topfragged on 20 kills, and apEX was feeling the love for his team as they suddenly found themselves back in the driver's seat.
With momentum now entirely in Vitality's favour, the NA crowd was still dreaming of The MongolZ pulling off a Cloud9-esque response on Inferno.
It started well for them, too, The MongolZ took the pistol round on the B site and also managed to build up some cash with a knife kill on flameZ.
Vitality weren't going to let The MongolZ build up any kind of lead, though. ZywOo reminded them why he's the best player in the world with a 1v2 on round two.
The MongolZ struggled to get anything off the ground in the rounds that followed, flameZ and apEX weren't giving them an inch on the B bombsite.
They did have some better luck on the A site, though, but it did take some individual brilliance from mzinho.
Another 9-3 half for Vitality, they soon found themselves 12-5 up, but Techno wasn't going to let them win the Major without adding another highlight to his reel.
But that highlight did ultimately matter for little, Vitality wrapped up their second Major win in the very next round with a solid hit on the B site.
