BLAST.tv Austin Major Playoff Souvenirs and Champions Stickers released

The Playoff Souvenirs and Champions Sticker capsule have finally been added to CS2.

Celebrating some of the best plays from the final weekend of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, the Souvenir Charms are a new addition to the Major, showcasing highlights from players across the playoff weekend.

Additionally, the Champions Sticker capsule commemorates the winners of the event, Vitality. With Paper, Foil, Holo, and Gold stickers all available in the capsule, we're sure UK fans will be picking up as many as they can to commemorate their king, mezii.

Playoff Souvenirs

Only available for Souvenirs claimed from the Playoff Stage, Souvenir Charms contain a random highlight from the map the Souvenir was claimed from, and let's say that some of them might not be the amazing play you'd expect them to be.

That isn't to say there aren't some big highlights locked away inside these charms, you can expect to see 910's incredible ace in the final as well as some excellent trolling from apEX amongst the offerings.

The charms are detachable, meaning that some of the bigger highlight plays may end up becoming hot commodities. There are 492 of them in total, with @Epidemic already sharing a spreadsheet with clips of each highlight linked inside.

Big changes to Premier matchmaking

Valve also announced in the past couple of days that Premier Season 2 will be coming to an end on July 14th.

In their announcement, they state that players will have to have an active CS Rating in order to get their Season 2 Medal, as long as the 25 wins in the Season required to earn the medal.

Valve have also made a big change to Premier matchmaking, as revealed int he patch notes alongside the Playoff Souvenir release.

Players will now be able to talk via voice chat during the Premier Pick/Ban phase, making it far easier to communicate with your team as to which map is going to give you the greatest chance of getting your CS Rating up.
