It has NOT been a good day for fans of NA Counter-Strike.
Not only have NRG been eliminated from the BLAST.tv Austin Major at the hands of Lynn Vision, Wildcard will now be joining them after losing 2-0 to Legacy.
Let's see how it happened.
Legacy picked Inferno heading into the series, clearly confident based on Wildcard's inconsistent performances on the map thus far in the event.
It was a choice that paid off, too, they soon led the map 7-5 and dumau was frying with a 12-9, 1.57 rated T side performance.
The Brazilians then put themselves in an even better position to take an advantage in the series, they won the opening three rounds of their CT side to lead the map 10-5.
Wildcard attempted to make a comeback, but the deficit was just too big close and Legacy took the map 13-10. dumau was quieter in the second half, but latto and lux stepped up to share the top frag duties with 19 kills each.
Momentum fully on their side, LEgacy made light work of map two.
Fought on Nuke, the Brazilians raced to a 11-1 lead, Wildcard were utterly hopeless on their T side as they failed to plant the bomb in nine of their lost rounds.
dumau kept frying, he picked up a triple in the Vent to shut down Wildcard as they tried to drop to the B bombsite.
Wildcard managed to pull a few rounds back, but their hopes were soon dashed as Legacy took the map 13-6. n1ssim topfragged, his 23-13 performance was a big reason as to why Wildcard now find themselves heading home much earlier than expected.
