Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major is now over and what an incredible few days of Counter-Strike it was.
Of course, the action is only just beginning, Stage 2 begins today, but while we're waiting for the entrance of both s1mple and m0NESY in Texas, how about we look back on some of the best plays from the opening stage?
Imagine you're on the deciding map of a 2-2 game at a Major, you've just dominated your opponents map pick to push the series to a third, and now your Major life is truly on the line.
Now, imagine the team comes rushing to your bombsite, what do you do?
Well, if you're JamYoung, you pick up five of the crispiest USP-S headshots of all time and shut down the assault like they're silvers.
Filthy stuff.
Seeing as we mentioned that dominant Mirage win with the previous clip, it only feels right that Attacker's 4k is also highlighted.
Truthfully, we don't know how FlyQuest didn't kill him, but we're kind of glad they didn't because this clip is great.
A true veteran of Chinese CS, this is the play that his career deserves.
Spraydowns are sadly quite rare in CS2, but this one from Starry would've been special even in CS:GO.
A perfect four kills as he fought Dust2 Long in OT, we just have to give him credit for having the balls to make such a play in one of the biggest rounds of his career.
Starry, you truly are a baller.
Okay, so this is both a decent play and an excellent bit of trash talk, but that counts, right?
The play itself might be cheating, but that's only because you shouldn't actually be allowed to use two guns at once in CS. Either way, though, it's still a nice few kills by HexT, and the kind words for his opponents afterwards are wonderful.
It's just a shame that we won't get to hear more of it, right NA fans?
We've got to have a clutch to close out our list, and what's better than Boombl4's 200IQ play against Wildcard?
The former Major winner used up all of his experience to win this clutch on Nuke, faking out his rotate to confuse the retaking Wildcard players and catch them extremely off guard.
Oh, and it happened in OT, so that's an extra point from us.
