Only one best-of-five remains. Only two teams remains, as two more have bid farewell to their dreams of lifting the trophy at BLAST Slam III on Day 5.
The fifth day of BLAST Slam III featured two thrilling series that put fans on the edge of their seats. Teams unleashed their hidden strategies in these crucial moments. With everything on the line, the level of play reached new heights — but only Team Falcons and Tundra Esports survived to tell this tale.
To earn their spot at BLAST Slam III grand finals, Team Falcons went up against Team Spirit. The trash talks were intense, and the match itself lived up to the hype. Falcons took the first game convincingly. Despite Raddan’s best efforts on his Phantom Assassin, a couple of critical slip-ups were all that Falcons needed to seize control and secure the win.
In the second game, Falcons put ATF his signature Timbersaw — and it was a sight to behold.Even though Team Falcons held a lead in net worth, the game told a different story. ATF’s Timbersaw did everything in his power to stop Team Spirit from closing out the match. After losing a couple of sets of racks and as the match exceeded an hour mark, Falcons cauterised their bleeding. After a failed high-ground push from Team Spirit, Falcons found their opening. They landed the knockout blow, eliminating Team Spirit from the tournament.
Tundra Esports went up against Gaimin Gladiators for their seat at the grand finals. In the first game of the series, Tundra had a midlane Tinker. For context, Tundra's midlaner BZM's last Tinker match was in 2023 at the Berlin Major, and his record before this particular match was 3-6. Gaimin had an early lead, but they did not properly put it to good use. Moreover, they failed to address the Tinker properly, which came to haunt them as the game progressed. After playing 57 minutes of whack-a-mole against the elusive Tinker, GG eventually tapped out as they were unable to bring him down.
In the second game of the series, Tundra had a safelane Doom. The Gladitors had a fantastic start with their midlane Ember Spirit. However, a few slip-ups allowed Tundra Esports to make their way back into the game. Additionally, a couple of disastrous Roshan skimirshes sealed the fate for Gaimin Gladitors, and with that, they were eliminated from BLAST Slam III.
