Here’s the current list of Tier S Dota 2 heroes for Patch 7.39c:
Axe: Axe is an excellent playmaker in the midgame, takes off in many lanes and is incredibly oppressive in both pro games and pubs, unlike other heroes.
Undying: Undying can be flexed into both the offlane and support, automatically winning any lane and having incredible team fight presence and high item and build versatility. It makes him a great hero pick in the current meta.
Batrider: Batrider is a versatile hero in both laning and play style that excels particularly in the support role. Blink and Lasso is an incredibly potent combination, allowing the hero to initiate, and the Stoked facet means this hero nearly always finds farm. Batrider has been a staple meta pick in the new patch overall and is quite popular.
Queen of Pain: Players are increasingly becoming aware of QoP's power in either sidelane, as well as its consistency in the mid-lane. Bondage and Blademail are a go-to build that offers a perfect blend of damage, farming, and team fighting capabilities. She is quickly becoming a rising meta pick in Patch 7.39c and is good for climbing the MMR ladder in ranked games.
Templar Assassin: Despite the many nerfs, TA remains an incredible farmer with extremely high damage output. Her feasibility in pro and pub games is an easy choice when it comes to gaining MMR in ranked games.
Here’s the current list of Tier A Dota 2 heroes for Patch 7.39c:
Puck: Most heroes have a difficult time locking Puck down, and she currently has good meta mid-matchups. Her laning has stayed reliable, and her damage ramps up quite fast through the midgame, making her a go-to pick in the current patch.
Naga Siren: Naga Siren as support is incredibly consistent, providing the most utility out of nearly any hero in the game, but with an incredibly high skill ceiling and floor. Master her, and the MMR gain in ranked games is yours for the taking.
Shadow Fiend: - Safelane or mid, Shadow Fiend deals massive damage, allowing you to spec into heavy magical damage or high physical damage, depending on the game, as well as winning the large majority of lanes. Patch 7.39c has been kind to SF players, allowing them to play their favourite hero in the current meta.
Dawnbreaker: Dawn's Aghanim's outputs insane healing and is core to this hero's success. Her damage is good throughout the whole game, while providing an easy way to play the map. She is a no-brainer meta pick in the current patch.
Nature's Prophet: Despite the many nerfs and facet changes, Nature's Prophet is still capable of showing up to early fights and taking off into much higher net worth than any other hero, making him just as valuable as before. Make sure to level stats instead of treants and pick Soothing Saplings as your facet. That’s a guaranteed way to gain MMR in the current patch.
Here’s the current list of Tier B Dota 2 heroes for Patch 7.39c:
Terrorblade: Terrorblade remains a staple carry pick but is a bit weaker overall, considering the number of poor lane matchups he might walk into and the overwhelming magic damage many meta heroes can provide.
Dark Seer: Dark Seer is similarly difficult to pilot but requires more specific lane pairings and matchups in the current patch and meta.
Beastmaster: Another offlaner who requires some execution as well as optimal itemisation and decent lane matchups; the Helm of the Overlord build in particular can take over games on its own, and Primal Roar remains a high-value BKB-disabling stun.
Dark Willow: Her damage is contingent on landing many easy-to-dodge spells, but is incredibly high when things line up. Using her innate for more healing and harassment throughout the laning phase propels her to be a very formidable support in the current patch, making her a popular meta pick.
Death Prophet: The nerf to Death Prophet's aghs made her overall quite weaker, but she remains an extremely oppressive laner and in the right games will take over extremely fast. With the current meta suiting fast-paced games in Patch 7.39c, she’ll most likely always find a way into the list.
Here’s the current list of Tier C Dota 2 heroes for Patch 7.39c:
Kunkka: Kunkka has fallen out of favour but still provides excellent utility and can dominate certain lane matchups. Generally, it shines more in carry and mid, but we would avoid playing him in the offlane, given the current meta.
Doom: Doom flexes very comfortably to both side lanes and provides many of the things he has in previous patches. As long as you can get out of the laning stage, you will become one of the fastest farmers in the game with incredibly high item versatility. Thus, Doom is an ideal meta hero in the current patch.
Brewmaster: Brewmaster only has to build a few small items before building into a radiance, allowing him to get it extremely fast, sometimes even before boots. The faster the timing, the more oppressive this hero will become as he is nearly impossible to punish from ahead, but is difficult to pilot and struggles in lane at times.
Marci: Pick-me-up is a go-to way to demolish enemy safe lanes. Marci has relatively good save potential and high damage output, but sometimes struggles to find farm or levels. However, she is generally a favourable pick in the current meta, but very situational.
Pangolier: Many repeated nerfs have not been enough to stop this hero as it still shines in many games, particularly where diffusal is valuable. It can service both the offlane and mid, and Pango lovers can thrive in ranked games to climb the MMR ladder. The current patch makes him a favourable meta pick as well.
