In PEAK, climbing the mountain is only half the challenge. The other half is knowing how to use your items correctly. This game doesn’t explain much, so learning what each item does can save you and your team a lot of trouble.
This guide breaks down all items in PEAK so you know what’s useful and what’s just for fun.
Gives you a small area of light and keeps nearby players from freezing. You can turn it on and off.
Lights up foggy areas and removes frost. You can also use it to signal other players.
It tells you which direction you’re facing. Super basic but always helpful.
A better version of the normal compass. Points to the nearest closed luggage so you can find supplies faster.
A music item that interacts with capybaras in the Alpine zone and triggers a quest.
Lets nearby players have unlimited stamina for 10 seconds while it plays. Good in tight spots.
Just a collectible.
Throw it on any surface and it grows into a tall beanstalk you can climb. Handy for fast vertical movement.
Use a scroll to get a torn page. Collect all eight torn pages to unlock the bookworm badge.
Fill your hunger bar. Cooking them makes them work better.
Heals more hunger than regular food when cooked.
Gives you infinite stamina for a short time, but then leaves you super tired. Use it when you really need to move fast.
Hurts you if you eat them, but might be useful in certain strategies.
Gives a random amount of hunger and a random status effect. Could be good or bad. Sometimes fully heals and cures everything.
Heals you slowly over time. Good for minor damage.
Removes frostbite while it’s active, but doesn’t stop it from coming back.
Cures poison. Heals up to 14 poison ticks.
Removes all status effects and fully restores your stamina.
Throw it to make a cloud that heals and cures nearby players.
Heals everyone near it slowly over time. Good for group healing.
Fully heals all your damage. Good in emergencies.
Revives one dead teammate at a place you choose. Only works once.
Kills you instantly, but brings back all teammates around you with full stamina and health. It’s a trade.
Revives all dead players at a checkpoint. If you don’t use it, you get a mystical item instead.
Heals players and lets you activate a checkpoint, but all alive players need to be present.
Lets you place a rope downward from a stable spot.
Fires a rope that drops downward so others can climb up.
Goes upward when placed. Good for climbing.
Shoots a floating rope upward. Also used for going up.
Fires horizontally and makes a rope bridge you can walk across.
Attach it to a wall to recover stamina. It breaks after a few uses.
Throw it at a wall to create a temporary platform to stand on.
Used to cook food and slowly cure frost damage. Once placed, you can’t move it.
Makes whoever steps on it slip, including you. Just for fun or messing with others.
A one-time-use dart that hits enemies with strong lethargy.
Fires darts that slow down enemies. Good for staying safe at range.
