Faceless Masks are part of the challenge system in WoW’s Revisited Horrific Visions. If you’re looking to push your runs further and earn more rewards, these masks are where it all starts. Each one adds a new twist to the game, making things harder but also more rewarding.
In total, there are eight Faceless Masks. They each bring a unique effect that changes how you approach the Horrific Vision.
On top of that, they increase enemy health and damage by 25% per mask and boost the amount of Corrupted Mementos you earn by 20%. You can stack all eight for a huge challenge, but you’ll need to unlock each one first.
Here’s how to unlock them all, what they do, and a few tips to help you get through it.
Faceless Masks are optional modifiers that you activate before starting a Revisited Horrific Vision. They change the way the run plays out. Some affect your sanity, others increase enemy strength or spawn more mobs.

You don’t need to unlock them in a specific order. Just pick one to work on at a time based on what you’re comfortable with.
Here’s a breakdown of every Faceless Mask, what it does, and how to unlock it:
Effect: Cuts your max sanity by 50%.
Unlock: Complete all five objectives in a single Horrific Vision run.
Effect: Enemies deal 400% more sanity damage.
Unlock: With one mask active, complete the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar
Effect: Moving drops void zones for 10 seconds. Stepping in them drains 30 sanity per second.
Unlock: With one mask active, complete the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar.
Effect: Each area has two Madness effects instead of one.
Unlock: With one mask active, complete Old Town in Stormwind.
Effect: When below 50% sanity, a Horrific Figment enemy can spawn and attack you.
Unlock: With one mask active, complete the Mage Quarter in Stormwind
Effect: Killing enemies gives nearby ones a 15% damage buff for 20 seconds. Stacks if you keep killing.
Unlock: With one mask active, loot it from a group of Vengeful Voidspeakers in Stormwind Canals (between Trade District and Old Town).
Effect: Every 25 kills, a Nemesis spawns. These are elite enemies with Sanity Breaker abilities.
Unlock:
Effect: Increases the number of enemies, especially elite packsUnlock: With one mask active, complete all objectives and kill every enemy in one Horrific Vision run (you may still get it even if you miss a few mobs, but clearing everything is safer)
To get started:
Only one person in your party needs to have a mask unlocked for the group to activate it.
