If you’ve made it to the Alpine level in PEAK, you’re probably starting to notice that not everything you can eat is actually safe.
One example is the Napberry. It looks like just another fruit, but it can mess you up if you don’t know what it does. This guide breaks down how to find it, what it does, and when it’s worth using.
Napberry only grows in Alpine, which is the third level in the game after Tropics. You’ll know you’re getting close when you see a small plant giving off purple particles, and your stamina bar shows a tired effect. The berries themselves are bright purple, so they’re easy to spot once you're near.
The best place to search for Napberry is in caves. These caves are usually higher up in the mountains, which means you’ll need to move quickly if you want to avoid freezing or getting caught in the fog.
It doesn’t spawn often, so don’t expect to find one right away. But if you do find a Napberry, remember the location. It’ll keep showing up in the same spot for the rest of the day until the map changes.
So in short, head to Alpine, check inside caves, and watch for purple plants and particles.

Eating a Napberry does two main things. First, it completely fills and overflows your stamina bar. Second, it knocks your character out. You’ll fall asleep and stay that way until the stamina drains back down. While you’re asleep, you can’t do anything, and if you're in a bad spot, like out in a storm, you’ll probably die.
But there are some good uses too. If you’re injured, poisoned, burning, or about to take a bunch of damage, eating a Napberry can actually save you. It resets most negative effects, and if you survive the sleep, you’ll wake up in better shape than before. You can also eat it to help unlock the Foraging Badge, which requires eating five different berries in one run.
Still, it’s risky. Even if your health is full, the Napberry will usually knock you out right away. That means you’re stuck unless someone is nearby to revive you or you're in a safe place where you won’t freeze.

Only eat it if you’re trying to complete the Foraging Badge, or if you’re in a bad situation where you’d die anyway. It's not worth using just to fix hunger or minor injuries. If you're alone with no teammates and you're not indoors, it's best to leave it alone.
