Anyone who is planning to play a wipe long-term in EFT should be focusing their efforts on one thing: the Hideout. With enough investment this will be your most consistent source of income, ammunition, and quest items.
But how should you go around doing this? Here is how you can best utilize your Tarkov Hideout: what to upgrade first, what to ignore, and what to leave for last.
There is a total of 27 modules in Tarkov's Hideout, with the Christmas Tree one only being available during Christmas. So, year round, there are 26 available modules. They are:
Keep in mind that during the Hardcore Wipe that is currently underway, some Hideout modules have been nerfed, required items to build these modules have been doubled, but the items do not need to be found in raid anymore. In "normal" wipes, all items used to upgrade your Hideout need to be FIR.
This article is written for people who plan on playing the wipe for at least a few months. If you don't expect to stick with a Wipe for that long, we would recommend ignoring the Hideout entirely and focusing instead on making money and completing quests.
For those of you who will stick around, some Hideout upgrades are too good to pass on.
One of the toughest grinds in Tarkov is your PMC skills. They take a long time to level up, even if you play for quite a few hours. So it seems obvious that having a Hideout module that boosts the levelling of all Physical skills by 40% is excellent.
As long as you keep FP-100 filter absorbers running, the 40% boost will be working. Simply slot a filter in every time you start a Tarkov session, and enjoy your gains.

This is the most consistent money-maker in Tarkov's Hideout after Bitcoin Farm, which requires a hefty investment. The Booze Generator allows you to craft moonshine, which can be immediately sold to Therapist for profit, or used in the Scav case for those of you who like to gamble or need to find quest items.

Going back to our talking point about how grindy Skills are in Tarkov, what about a Hideout module that allows you to directly train the two most important skills in the game? The Gym will speed up your Endurance and Strength leveling by a lot.

The most consistent Tarkov money-maker outside of the Hideout in Tarkov is Scav runs. If you slot in a run between each time you go out as a PMC, you'll ensure that you are always getting something back, even if you have a terrible day and die in all your raids. Even if the Intelligence Center did not feature anything else, the Scav cooldown timer reduction alone would be massive. Besides it, though, it also comes with a boost for Quest money rewards, crucial crafts of quest items, reduced insurance return time, reduced Flea market commision, and it unlocks Scav Tasks from Fence.

Lastly we have the Library. Don't worry, you won't be reading anything here, neither will you be doing anything at all. The Library does not unlock crafts, but is also doesn't require any items to function. You simply have to build it, and it will boost your Practical skills leveling by 30%, while also boosting all experience gotten in raid by 15%. One of the most important Tarkov Hideout modules.
