BetBoom become the first team eliminated from Stage 2 with 2-0 loss to MIBR

It's time for the Stage 2 0-2 games here in Austin and one of our Stage 1 teams has already been eliminated as BetBoom fell 2-0 to MIBR.

A disappointing result for BetBoom, they looked strong in the opening Stage but it turned out that Stage 2 was just a bridge too far for them at this Major.

Let's take a look at how it happened.

MIBR clinch Train

BetBoom put all their hopes on Train in the series and it initially looked good as they won the pistol.

However, MIBR soon battled their way back in with some CT round wins, eventually taking the half 7-5 thanks to 12 kills a piece from Lucaozy and insani.

The second half was all square, both teams won six rounds, but that was enough for MIBR to take the map with Lucaozy topfragging on 22 kills.

MIBR take the series on Anubis

Heading into Anubis with their backs against the wall, BetBoom didn't get off to a strong start as a disappointing T side saw them once again 7-5 down at the half.

Magnojez and zorte attempted to fight back to push them to OT in the second half, the duo combined for 24 kills but it just wasn't enough as MIBR sealed the map in the final two rounds.

A team performance from MIBR, they'll now look to continue their run in Austin with a game against Falcons tomorrow.
