After looking strong in Stage 1 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, OG are out of Stage 2 with an 0-3 record following a loss to Falcons in their 0-2 game.
After the game, we caught up with Buzz to get his views onw hat went wrong for the team in Stage 2.
Unfortunately you've just been eliminated from Stage 2, what do you think went wrong in that game against Falcons?
I think we had our chances on Nuke to close the game, we had some really good ideas on what they were doing, but it just came down to killing people and NiKo landing some important kills in the later rounds.
On Mirage, we had a good start, but we couldn't really counter their late round plays, they outplayed us a bit and made us sweat a bit too much.
You looked really good in Stage 1 and a lot of people thought you'd be able to go even further, how are you feeling right now?
I'm disappointed, but then again, we're happy to just be able to play here. When we signed nicoodoz we didn't even expect to be at the Major, it was a really close run just to get the MRQ invite and then we made it through 3-0. We're grateful to be here, and it sucks that we couldn't go further, but that's how it is sometimes.
What's the future of the team looking like? Are you hoping to get more invites now?
For sure, I think we have a really high ceiling with this team, but it's about raising our floor and being more consistent. I think we can beat really good teams when we're at our best.
