The upsets keep on coming in Stage 2 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, Legacy have just taken down FaZe to advance to Stage 3 with a 3-0 record.
A 2-0 victory for the Brazilians, they've flown through the second Stage afrter opening their Major in Stage 1 with a defeat to Chinese team Lynn Vision.
Let's take a look at the action from their game against FaZe.
Legacy picked Mirage heading into the series and it's easy to see why, they blitzed their way to a 7-0 start to kick off their T side.
FaZe picked up a couple of rounds and were feeling the comeback, s1mple wanted his opponents to know he was coming for them.
They couldn't pull it back though, Legacy remained in control after 8-4 first half to take the map 13-7. lux topfragged, he finished the map with 19 kills and had effective support from dumau and saadzin who combined for 34.
FaZe looked set to take us to a third map in the opening stages of Dust2, they soon found themselves with a 5-0 lead.
However, the Brazilians fought back, closing out the half with seven straight round wins thanks to solid shooting from lux, latto, and n1ssim.
FaZe began the second half with another string of rounds, taking the lead at 8-7 to put themselves in a solid position on their map pick.
Once again, though, the Brazilians turned up the heat, responding with five consecutive round wins to give themselves four series points at 12-8.
The Europeans tried to come back, they picked up four rounds thanks to some incredible individual plays like this one from s1mple.
It all came down to the final round of regulation, one in which Legacy decided to go B on their force buy and ended up with a very favourable post-plant. n1ssim would then take down s1mple with a drive-by in Mid, and left karrigan with way too much to do as Legacy closed out the game and series 13-11.
