Here’s the list of the top mid heroes in Patch 7.39c:
Queen of Pain’s Bondage facet has turned her into a popular hero pick in the current patch, and players are increasingly becoming aware of her power in either sidelane, as well as her consistency in the mid-lane.
Bondage, as previously mentioned, along with Blademail, is a go-to build that offers a perfect blend of damage, farming and team fighting capabilities. She’s great against squishy heroes, has a good lane presence and can dish out constant harassment with her spells.
Queen of Pain is highly contested in pro games and provides a lot of value in the current meta as a midlaner. She also has a decent win rate in ranked games, and one can climb the MMR ladder by utilising her effectively.
She is undoubtedly becoming one of the top mid heroes in Dota 2 Patch 7.39c.
Locking down Puck is no easy task due to its abilities, and with strong matchups in the current meta, it’s a top hero pick for the mid lane. Puck’s laning has stayed reliable, and damage ramp-up is quite fast through the midgame, making it a go-to pick in the current patch.
Puck received buffs in patch 7.39, and in the subsequent mini-patches, it has not been fiddled with too much. With a proper line-up of allies, it can lock down heroes and dish out tons of damage, and can be a menace.
It can hold its own in the laning stage, has good scalability throughout the game, and can thus transition into a top mid lane hero, especially in Dota 2 Patch 7.39c.
Kunkka might have fallen out of favour in the current patch, but he still provides a lot of utility and can dominate certain lane matchups, especially in the mid lane. Generally, he’s being picked as a mid lane hero or as a safe lane hero.
But we would avoid picking him as an offlaner, given the current meta trend. He’s a natural tank and boasts an arsenal of spells, both individual and team-based, that give him an edge in comparison to others.
To offset his weaknesses, Kunkka is being played alongside heroes that can initiate in his presence, like Storm Spirit, Shadow Fiend, or those who can help set up team fights like Dark Willow, Shadow Shaman, etc.
Despite the many nerfs, Templar Assassin remains an incredible farmer with an obnoxious amount of high damage output. She’s a difficult hero to master, but once you get a grip on the basics, victory is within your reach.
Besides dealing high damage, Templar Assassin can farm neutrals, particularly stacked ancient camps, with ease. She can also secure early objectives like killing Roshan or towers early on, giving her team an advantage.
Despite her shortcomings, Templar Assassin is a top-tier mid hero in the current patch and easily ranks high in the meta.
Shadow Fiend has emerged as a top-tier pick in the current meta, particularly in Dota 2 Patch 7.39c, where damage-focused mid laners are heavily favoured. He’s become a top mid hero in the current patch, all thanks to his versatility.
Mid hero or safelane hero, Shadow Fiend naturally deals massive damage, both physical and magical, making him too valuable an asset. You can spec into heavy magical damage or high physical damage, depending on the game, as well as winning the vast majority of lanes.
As a top-tier meta pick, he’s a highly contested hero in the mid lane and maintains an impressive win rate in both ranked and professional matches.
