Here’s the list of the top support heroes in Dota 2 Patch 7.39c:
It would be fair to say that Naga Siren got buffed when Patch 7.39 was released. Her base agility and damage was marginally increased. Deluge Facet is incredibly handy with increased damage but reduced movement speed. Even though it no longer reduces the status resistance of an enemy, an Aghanim’s Scepter upgrade on Ensnare applies a break to the target. The cooldown of her ultimate, Song of the Siren, was also decreased.
Moreover, Naga Siren as a support hero is incredibly consistent, providing the most utility out of nearly any hero in the game, but with an incredibly high skill ceiling and floor. A top meta support in Dota 2 Patch 7.39c, she’s dominating games across all skill brackets. Master her, and the MMR gain in ranked games is yours for the taking.
Batrider’s resurgence as a top meta pick, particularly as a support hero, in the current patch is endearing, to say the least. He’s a versatile hero in both laning and play style, and scales extremely well in the early-mid game.
With a decent damage output, thanks to Sticky Napalm and Firefly, and Stoked Facet, because of which he can always find farm with relative ease, allowing him to build items quickly compared to others, Batrider is proving to be extremely valuable in ranked games.
Building a Blink and initiating with Lasso makes for an incredibly potent combination, disrupting team fights and gaining an edge over the enemy heroes. Batrider has been a staple meta pick in Patch 7.39c overall and is quite popular.
Dark Willow’s damage is contingent on landing many easy-to-dodge spells, but is incredibly high when things line up. Players are using her innate ability for more healing in ranked games and harassing the opponents throughout the laning phase.
The above factors have propelled her to become a top support hero in Patch 7.39c, making her a popular meta pick. She is rather easy to play and execute, and comes in clutch in difficult situations. She can even escape, albeit momentarily, into the Shadow Realm and become immune to spells and buy additional time.
Undoubtedly, Dark Willow has become a top support hero pick in both pro and pub games.

Undying is becoming a flex pick in the current patch, both as a support and offlane. He has an incredible team fight presence, has a high item and build versatility, and is quite durable during the laning phase, especially with his spells and strength attributes.
He can transcend into a semi-core hero with ease and give his team an edge in ranked games, and having him in the team means automatically winning any lane. This versatility makes Undying a popular meta pick and a top support hero in Patch 7.39c.
Shadow Shaman is one of the most contested heroes in the current patch. He is a top meta pick, especially as a support hero, and is extremely valuable to any team. He boasts an impressive win rate as well.
Shadow Shaman’s Massive Serpent Ward facet got buffed and both his facets, Massive Serpent Ward or Chicken Fingers, are viable and offer a lot of value. His lockdown potential with Hex and Shackles also comes in handy, all the while dealing magical damage with Ether Shock, which is a bonus in ranked games.
Securing objectives like towers is quite easy with his ultimate. Moreover, Shadow Shaman is also quite strong in the laning stage.
